ABOUT

When I was 18 years old, my uncle tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of 28. That moment marked my life forever. He and I were not close, but we were attached by the invisible lines of blood relations, and I knew from family lore that he was someone who was wild and full of life. I saw a lot of what I wanted to be in him, and I aspired to have his spirit for adventure. Fast forward a decade, and I found myself at his age, working as an engineer, seemingly doing all things right but feeling incomplete, compromising as any sensible adult might do. The little child in me was feeling unheard. One day, I started listening, and along the way, as I read "The Artists' Way" (as many of us later-bloomers have) I rediscovered my love for art and began to understand that the emptiness in my chest was filled through the creative act.

This portfolio is a reflection of my self-discovery and a reminder that so long as I walk on this planet my goal is to grow.

I'm not sure where I am going, but I know I am where I need to be.

For my Tio Mario and the other people that cannot be anymore.

Growing doesn't always come with a giant price tag
